Summary: "Pretty and unique watch"

Moon and stars have become a popular motif which you're now seeing everywhere. That being said, this watch is unique and quite pretty. It takes a few minutes to get the phases of the moon feature set, so be patient (they send a chart with the dates of the full moon in this year. You set the date on the watch to the most recent full moon according to the chart, and then keep turning the hour hand forward repeatedly until it advances the date to the one you are in. As it does so, it also advances the phase of the moon to be accurate to your current date. My wife has received lots of compliments on it and it is her new favorite watch. As other reviewers have noted, Stuhrling does extend the 2 year warrantee to 3 years if you submit a good review to Amazon. Even so, I still would have submitted this positive review. We've previously had mixed results with ordering jewelry through Amazon. This is one of the jewelry purchases which with we are very pleased, and was worth the price (we paid about $129.00 for it.)

Summary: "watch is wonderful, band is not"

This is a beautiful & hard to find true moon phase watch for a women.Just beware that though the basic band is leather it is covered with a pink fabric material (like silk or matte satin) & so while the watch is water resistant the band is not. Would've prefered an all leather band. Not a deal breaker, easy enough to buy another band.
